Hello, my name is Ruth, I’m an illustrator and I love to create bold, colourful, fun designs inspired by ordinary everyday objects and a love of printmaking and drawing. I use a mixture of traditional linocutting and digital techniques, hand carving individual elements which brings a playful texture and energy to each piece.

I have worked in the print design industry since graduating from Manchester Metropolitan University with an MA in printed textiles in 1996, first in New York and then London for a variety of different studios. I now work from my studio in the beautiful Stroud valleys on a wide variety of projects including children’s books, murals and food illustration, but with a particular interest in illustrated maps.
